Requirements

• Professor – CONUASS 7

  Candidate must possess a good honours Bachelor’s degree, not below Second Class Lower Division. In addition, Candidates must possess earned Ph.D. and a minimum of twelve (12) years post-qualification experience in teaching, research and student supervision in a recognised University.

  In addition, the candidate must have extensive scholarly publications in reputable high-impact journals to his/her credit.

  Moreover, it is expected that the candidate must show evidence of exemplary academic leadership as well as community services.




• Reader/Associate Professor – CONUASS 6

  Candidate must possess earned Ph.D. and a minimum of nine (9) years post-qualification experience in teaching, research and student supervision in a recognised University.

  In addition, the candidate must have extensive scholarly publications in reputable high-impact journals to his/her credit.

  Traits of academic leadership and evidence of community services are strong advantages

  Candidate should show evidence of capacity/capability of maturing into a full Professor

  Candidate must possess a good honours degree, not below a Second Class Lower.

  Note: All appointments for the Professorial Cadre (that is, 1 & 2 above) shall be subject to positive external assessment.




• Senior Lecturer – CONUASS 5

  Candidate must possess earned Ph.D. and a minimum of six (6) years post-qualification experience in teaching, research and student supervision in a recognised University.

  In addition, the candidate must possess high standard of academic leadership, team work (especially collaborative research) and administrative experience.

  Candidates must possess a good honours degree, not below a Second Class Lower.




• Lecturer I – CONUASS 4

  Candidate must possess earned Ph.D. and a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in teaching, research and student supervision in a recognised University. Candidate with a good Master’s degree as well as a good number of scholarly publications in reputable national/international journals may also apply.

  In addition, the candidate must possess high standard of academic leadership, team work (especially collaborative research) and administrative experience.

  Candidate must possess a good honours degree, not below a Second Class Lower.

• Lecturer II – CONUASS 3

  Candidate must possess a good honours degree, not lower than a Second Class Lower and earned Ph.D. Candidate with a Master’s degree from a recognised University with evidence of having reached an advanced stage of the completion of Ph.D. may be an advantage.

  Assistant Lecturer – CONUASS 2

  Candidate must possess a good honours degree, not below a Second Class Lower, with a Master’s degree.
